Verkürzung der Frist für die Erteilung von Einreisevisa nach Russland

According to the statement of Alexander Agamov, Executive Director of the Tourist Association “World without Borders”, the reduction of the period of issuing visas for foreign tourists to go to Russia from 20 to 10 days, as well as the increase of the time line for the submission of documents for a visa will contribute to the growth of tourist flows.

It is necessary to remind that earlier the association “World without Borders” sent a letter to the Ministry of Economic Development with proposals of measures to liberalize the visa regime. At the same time, it is stressed that these measures do not require significant material costs of the state and will contribute to the increase of tourist flows.

“Among the rules that would greatly facilitate the receipt of Russian visas by foreign citizens, we can name the reduction of the issuing of visas from 20 to 10 days and the increase of the time line to submit the documents for an electronic visa”, — said Alexander Agamov.

Now the application for an electronic visa should be submitted no sooner than 20 days before the trip. Presumably, this period is linked with certain technical conditions, but this restriction is inconvenient for a person who plans the journey in advance.

“Russia is a distant country for many tourists, and the tourists plan the trip to Russia in advance, not in 20 days. If we are talking about such advanced technologies as e-visa, we should strive to give a tourist the possibility to apply for it much earlier than 20 days”, — said the representative of the tourist association.
