To use the right of visa-free entry, foreign nationals must present either the original or just printed electronic form of their FAN IDs at passport control at a border crossing point. To be allowed to the stadium, the cup fans must have a ticket for the match and the original laminated FAN ID form. Fans with electronic FAN ID must obtain a laminated form of the document at one of the FAN ID issuing centers in Russia or at special technical support stations which will open near stadiums, in the airports of the World Cup's host cities and at eight vehicle checkpoints in the Leningrad and Kaliningrad regions. In Moscow, technical support stations will open at Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo airports.
FAN ID allows visiting stadiums, provides a free travel on additional trains between the host cities and ensures free travel in the city public transport (buses, trolleybuses, trams, metro) and in suburban electric trains and Aeroexpresses. Currently, in accordance with the intergovernmental agreement, FAN ID also provides a visa-free transit through the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
