Außenministerium Russlands hat beschlossen, an der Emission von russischen Visa an Ausländer zu unterstützen
The MFA Consular Department expressed the readiness to help foreigners in solving problems with Russian visas within its competence: the agreement was consolidated at a meeting of the Director of the MFA Consular Department Andrey Karlov and the President of the Association of Tour Operators, the head of the Federal Tourism Agency Alexander Radkov.
The meeting was devoted to the problem of visa issuance in the Russian visa centers: according to the data of Russian Association of Tour Operators, due to the malfunction of the centers and the cost increase of visas as a result of their work, the number of tourists wishing to travel to the country dropped sharply: “Recently, the foreign operators, specializing in sending tourists to Russia, noted that due to the additional requirements of the visa centers, for example in Germany, the number of people wishing to visit Russia as tourists has reduced. A similar situation is in France and in Spain. According to some estimates of operators, the flow of organized tourists from these countries has been steadily declining”, – informs the association.
The MFA representatives at the meeting presented by – turn their statistics showing the opposite tendency in development of tours to Russia. However, the MFA expressed its readiness to handle in specific cases of the visa application center failures. “We are ready to deal the specific cases where the fault of the visa center makes the foreign tourists to refuse to travel to Russia, if the information on such cases will come from the Association”, – noted Andrey Karlov.
