Die Visaregelung zwischen Russland und den USA vom 9. September vereinfacht werden
The agreement on visa facilitation developed following the meeting of the Russian and American presidents in Deauville May 26, 2011 and concluded in Bali, November 19, 2011, enter into force on September 9, 2012.
August 10 this year, the appropriate exchange of diplomatic notes with the U.S. Embassy in Moscow took part.
“In accordance with the Agreement it is preview, in particular, to issue to the citizens of both countries the multiple-entry visas for a stay of up to 6 months from the date of each entry and valid for 36 months from the issue date”, – as stated in the report of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, published on the department`s website.
As noted in the MFA report, the agreement is called to develop business cooperation as well as scientific and cultural ties between the two countries.
Under the agreement, Russia will issue for American citizens private and tourist visa, visa by direct invitation from the receiving party. America, in turn, will issue visas B1/B2 that is for short-term tourist, visitor and business travel.
The decision on visa issue will be made within 15 calendar days from the date of application.
However, the U.S. tourists wishing to visit Russia still have to arrange hotel reservation or purchase tour travel from the agent.
