Einführung eines visafreien Regimes für bis zu 90 Tage zwischen Russland und Südafrika
The Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on conclusion of a protocol between the governments of the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Africa on the mutual abolition of visas for foreign passports holders. According to the report, this protocol provides the introduction of a visa-free regime for up to 90 days for foreign nationals.
“The signed decree adopted a proposal of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the conclusion through the exchange of notes of the protocol between the governments of the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Africa on the mutual abolition of visa requirements for holders of foreign passports”, – says in the document.
It must be emphasized that the introduction of a visa-free regime will contribute to the development of the bilateral trade and economic relations and tourism.
In November last year, the minister plenipotentiary of the Embassy of South Africa, Henry William Short announced that the South African Cabinet had already approved the decision on the introduction of a visa-free regime for up to 90 days.
“I think this is a good news for our countries in relation of tourism, business and scientific community”, – said Henry William Short.
