U.S. erwartet den Austausch von Notizen zur Visaerleichterung mit Russland

U.S. expects an exchange of diplomatic notes with Russia on visa facilitation between the countries, – informs the agency “RIA Novosti”. This was announced by David Donahue, the second deputy of the U.S. secretary of state responsible for visa issues.

Mutual facilitation of visa regime includes, particularly, the issuance of multiple entry visas valid for three years to businessmen and tourists.

This step will be another grade level to the complete abolition of visas between Russia and the United States.

“We work with our Russian colleagues, and those are working with the Duma, to obtain the necessary approval required for the exchange of notes. We look forward to the opportunity to begin to implement of the agreement”, – said David Donahue.

The fact that the agreement on facilitation of visa regime between Russia and the United States will be signed this year was announced in July by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergei Lavrov during his visit to Washington.

In all likelihood, now the Russian party should make a move into the work on the implementation of the agreement.
