Das vereinfachte Visaregime zwischen Belarus und der EU

On the official website of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry it is reported that Belarus and the European Union have signed a visa simplification agreement.

Document covers reduction of applications examination time limits, reduction of list of documents to confirm the purpose of visit and possibility of obtaining a multiple entry visa with a longer validity period.

The parts signed agreement on visa simplification on 8 January in Brussels.

Visa fee for entry into the EU has been reduced to 35 euros. Visa to Belarus for EU citizens will also fall in price. The length of stay of foreigners in Belarus will increase from 90 to 180 days. Visa agreement will enter into force in June this year.

The authorities also included in agreement obligations of the republic on readmission of their own citizens, who are deported by another state.
