Das russische Außenministerium fordert die USA auf, die Erteilung des Visums wiederherzustellen
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry situation with American visa issuing to Russian officials continues to deteriorate.
Despite this, the Russian side calls on the United States to resume issuing visas to Russian delegations and thereby restore diplomatic relations between two countries.
“We have long been calling on Americans completely and without preconditions to normalize visa issuing for officials”, the Foreign Ministry said.
Reportedly, Russia has been drawing the USA attention to visa problems since 2017. Unfortunately, the situation does not change for the better, which leads to the disruption of important negotiations and events & damages the work of the UN.
As emphasized, the UN expressed concern about refusal to issue visas to representatives of Russia.
“Situation has been reduced to absurdity — the heads and experts of our departments, to whom the Americans themselves have sent official invitations, do not get visas”, department notes.
According to the Ministry, if this problem cannot be resolved in the near future, Russia will be forced to seek transfer of international events to countries with “more favorable political climate”.
“All our recent steps are exclusively reciprocal, which Washington knows very well”, the Foreign Ministry added.
On September 2019, the U.S.A. side refused to issue visas to the Russian delegation following the UN. Visas were also denied to several Russian diplomats.
