
Russland und Italien haben die Perspektiven der Entwicklung des Tourismus diskutiert
A meeting took place in Moscow between Alexander Radkov, the head of Rostourism, and Marco Bruskini, the head of the Russian representative office of the Tourism National Agency of Italy, – informs the press-service of the Federal Tourism Agency.
The parties discussed the upcoming international exhibition “ITM-2013” to be held in Moscow. This year the exhibition stand of Italy will be significantly expanded and will occupy the area of about 100 square meters. In turn, Russia will take part in the Italian exhibition “BIT” in Milan.
The parties also held negotiations on the organization of the Year of tourism of Russia and Italy in 2014. The Italian representative noted the high level of mutual interest between Russia and Italy and voiced the information of the Italian consulate in Moscow: the number of tourist visas issued to Russian citizens in 2012 amounted to 600 thousand. At the same time, the number of Italian tourists in Russia grew by 2% to 170.8 thousands.
To optimize the tourism development a working group will be organized that will focus on the promotion of tourism opportunities, training, exchange of experience and youth programs. The group should form a list of the most popular areas and leisure options among citizens of the negotiators.
