Russland und Südkorea ein Abkommen über Visafreiheit
November 13 in Seoul, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the Minister Yun Byung-se signed an agreement on the abolition of visas between South Korea and Russia, – reported the agency RIA Novosti. The agreement will enter into force within one month.
The document was signed as the results of negotiations between the President Vladimir Putin and the President of South Korea Park Geun-hye.
Visa-free regime will affect tourists and businessmen who remain in the host country for a period not exceeding 60 days per trip and no more than 90 days within six months. In this case, the visa-free regime does not provide studies or work.
The very agreement on the abolition of visas was reached in September and had only to be put in the documentary form.
Apart from the agreement on visa-free regime, another agreement was signed between the two governments on cultural exchange, cross years of Korea and Russia in 2014–2015. Also the parties have agreed to cooperate in the development of transport and tourism.
