Russia, China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea are planning to create an international visa-free area in the delta of the Tumentszyan River. The construction of the tourist area’s infrastructure and its administration will be managed jointly by the three partner countries.

It is reported that a tourist area will cover the Chinese city Hunchun of the Jilin Province, the Russian village Hasan and the territory of North Korea – Tumentszyan Dong village. In the province of Jixin the local authorities have already established a working group which will have to prepare a project of the zone’s creation.

Tourists from all three countries will be able to visit the tourist area without visas and only with passports and identity cards. Tax revenues when leaving the area will also be abolished.

This year the experts expect significant development of cooperation between Russia and China in different areas of activity. So, while speaking at the plenary session of the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum the Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich announced about the intention to expand the cooperation in such areas as transport and logistics, processing of natural resources and agriculture – reports “Kommersant”.

“I think that we are on the verge of a major breakthrough in terms of investment and not trade cooperation”, stressed the Deputy Prime Minister in his statement.
