Putin wies an, das E-Visa-Gesetz für Ausländer einzuführen
Russian president Vladimir Putin instructed the government to ensure the introduction of law on e-visa for foreigners to enter Russia since 2021.
Earlier, the Cabinet submitted to the State Duma a bill introducing single e-visa to enter Russia from January 1, 2021. Now e-visa is valid in the Far East, in the Kaliningrad region and St. Petersburg.
Execution of order expires on October 1, 2020.
The bill intends to define e-visa as a separate category of visa on a par with temporary resident visa, diplomatic, official, ordinary and transit visas. E-visa will be issued as single-entry visa for up to 60 days with stay in Russia up to 16 days. Foreign citizen can apply for e-visa on special website in the Internet. Deadline for applying for e-visa will take four calendar days from date of application.
