Das Verfahren zur Erlangung einer Einladung nach Russland schneller geworden
As was announced by the press service of the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation, starting from April 27th it became possible for foreign citizens to obtain an e-invitation to enter Russia.
Prior to this innovation, it was necessary to submit the required documents to the FMS, to appear in person at the service department in 20 days to pick up the original of the invitation and to send it to the foreign citizen by post. After receiving the paper foreign citizen had a right to start visa issuing process on its base.
For now the invitation will be sent to the applicant by e-mail. The electronic version of the letter will be the reason to issue Russian visa for foreign citizen. In this way, the time required to obtain an invitation and issue a visa will be greatly reduced.
However, the procedure for submission of documents for invitations processing has not changed – the documents should still be carried to the department of FMS. According to Zalina Kornilova, the head of the press service of the Federal Migration Service, with time when the procedure for issuing electronic invitations will be used more frequently, the service plans to make the application process remote.
At this moment, it is required to indicate the personal data of foreign citizens, their itinerary and places to be visited on the territory of Russia as well as the data of the legal entity or individual acting as the inviting party, to apply for an invitation.
