„Broadway“ und Karneval findet am Tag der Stadt Moskau statt

On Saturday, the first day of September, 2012, at 12:00 at the Red Square the opening celebration of the city of Moscow will take place, – says “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”. In the 865-day anniversary of the capital about 600 entertainment programs and activities are scheduled.

September 1 at Pushkin Square the concert “Moscow Broadway” will take place, where Muscovites and tourists could see excerpts from musicals, successfully going on capital stages in recent years. In particular, the musical artists from “Cats”, “Zorro”, “Mamma Mia” and “The Sound of Music” will perform on stage. Brodvey evening will be directed by Yevgeny Pisarev, the head the Pushkin Drama Theater.

On Sakharov Avenue there will be a carnival dedicated to the bicentennial of the War of 1812, and on Tsvetnoy Boulevard the circus artists will be performing.

Of the more unusual show we can mention the planned race of waiters with trays on the Theatre passage and the dynamic lighting show in Gorky Park and on Tverskaya Street.

Besides the entertainment show the coordinators of the festival planned for the first time a number of informative excursions that tourists will enjoy no doubt. For example, interested persons could go with a guide along the walls of the Kremlin and from the Tropinin museum till Zamoskvorechye. The cost of walking tours start at a few thousand, but the bus ride tours of Moscow will cost 12 thousand rubles.

The fireworks on September 1 will complete the holiday, which will be held on Vasilevsky descent, Cosmonauts Alley in Troitsk and on Poklonnaya Hill.
