Moskauer Museen warten auf Modernisierung

Moscow Museums will be subjected to the global modernization in the next five years. Over this period, new programs will be created in museums, the halls will be equipped with 3D and 4D-equipment. This statement was made by Sergei Khudyakov, the head of the Moscow Department of Culture.

These changes are provided by the project “Moscow Culture in 2012-2016 years”, submitted to the cabinet meeting.

“We plan to create the interactive multimedia exposition blocks with the use of 3D and 4D-visualization in eight museums” – quotes the agency “RIA Novosti” the words of Khudyakov. It will be allowed to touch the exhibits in the museum, there will also be the electronic information stands and audio guides.

On the financing of the program it is planned to allocate 180 billion rubles.

The mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin noted, that the amount of the maintenance and restoration of monuments of culture and history will be also increased. It is planned to send about 15 billion rubles for the construction and restoration works.

In particular, these funds will be used to reconstruct the Museum of history of the tank T-34, the Mayakovski Theater and the House-museum of Tarkovsky family.

It is planned that these and other measures will increase the number of visitors of the capital's museums from 5.5 million in 2012 to 6 million in 2016.
