Moskau stellt eine spezielle Karte für Touristen
From December 1, Moscow guests can purchase a special tourist card, which will help them save money while visiting museums, restaurants and attractions of the capital. For Moscow, it will be the first experience. The tourist card will be named Moscow Pass.
In Russia, Moscow Pass will cost 2,400 rubles, while abroad 59.99 euros, – informs the newspaper “Vedomosty”. Card validity period is three days from the date of activation.
The list of museums, which will be free for owners of Moscow Pass, will include the Museum of World War II of 1812, the Museum of Contemporary Russian History, the Museum of Russian Icons, and the State Historical Museum. In addition, the cardholders will be offered free walking and motor-ship tours, as well as restaurant discount of 10-20% with Moscow Pass.
As the card developers report, its main task will be to participate in the program of the Moscow Government to attract tourists to the capital. It is known that in many major cities around the world such tourist cards have long existed and were successfully used. For example, this card can be bought by travelers in New York, Berlin, Prague, London, and Paris. Last year, the similar card got on sale in St. Petersburg.
Later, it is planned to expand the Moscow Pass range: according to the list of free museums and the number of discounts the cost of the card will vary. So far, the only type of tourist card are available to travelers in hotels “Baltschug Kempinski”, “National”, “Lotte Hotel”, “Ararat Park Hyatt”, “Marriott Royal Aurora” and several other well-known hotels of the capital, as well as in travel agencies and museum ticket offices.
