In Russland kann für einige Länder für die Einführung von Belarus Visafreiheit Maßnahmen zu ergreifen
Russian experts believe that a partial visa abolition introduced by Belarus for citizens of 80 countries may affect the interests of the Russian Federation. It does not exclude the possibility of taking measures to prevent the penetration of the risk countries citizens.
It should be recalled that the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree introducing a visa-free entry through the “Minsk” National Airport checkpoint available for a period of up to five days for citizens of 80 countries. This decree applies to 39 European countries, including all the EU states, as well to Brazil, Indonesia, the US, Japan and other countries. As noted, the established procedure for visa-free travel does not apply to persons coming to Belarus from Russia by plane and intending to fly to Russia.
“When people come to Belarus by plane, they have to pass the passport control and there is a separate passport control for citizens of Russia and Belarus”, – said the executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze.
She also noted that she expects an increase in the incoming tourist flow to Belarus and regrets that Russia cannot follow this example.
