The Council establishment will contribute to the organization of interaction between federal and regional authorities, scientific and public organizations.

The Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets has been appointed the Chairman of the Coordinating Council.

According to the experts, the fact that the deputy prime minister was appointed the head of the Coordinating Council for the development of domestic and incoming tourism indicates that the government defines tourism as an important sector of the economy.

“Tourism is a mechanism containing transport, excursions and consumer services as well as medical and health services which is rather complicated to manage,” – says Golodets.
