The procedure for hiring of foreign experts for participating in research and educational organizations in Skolkovo is simplified. The agreement was signed by the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev last week, reports the agency Interfax.

In 2012 was created and approved a list of innovation and research centers which have the right to employ foreign nationals on the simplified grounds – without issuing a permit to hire foreign workers, while the employees themselves do not have to process work permit at the Migration Service. Now, in this list are included legal persons taking part in the Skolkovo projects. At the present moment, there are about fifteen hundred of such organizations.

As noted in reference to the decree, this decision will help to realize the main objectives and tasks of the innovation center. One of the central aims set out at the end of 2014 by the President of the innovation сenter Viktor Vekselberg is that by 2020 the contribution of Skolkovo into the Russian GDP should be more than two hundred billion rubles, and by 2030 more than half a trillion.

Skolkovo is one of the largest innovation projects in modern Russia, it is a technological complex operating in the most important sectors of the economy and technology such as medicine, energy, information technology, space, nuclear energy and others.
