Ausländische Sportler werden nach Russland ohne Visum betreten zulässig
Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting of the Presidential Council for Sport in Kazan on March 19, proposed to introduce a visa-free regime for foreign athletes participating in sports competitions in Russia, – informs the agency “RIA Novosti”.
As President noted, in addition to the Olympic Games and the World Student Games in Kazan, Russia in 2018, 20 major international sport events will be held, including the Confederations Cup in 2017 and the World Cup in 2018. “It will be right if regime to all athletes who will take part in them,” – he noted.
In 2012, a decree was already signed according to which the members of the World Student Games will be able to enter Russia by the register of accreditation, also the intention to make a visa-free entry for the Olympic athletes was declared. Now the president has declared a system approach, when the members of all major sport events can profit of a visa-free regime.
The President noted the need to simplify the visa regime for foreign fans. Such a precedent has already taken place, when in 2008 the audience of the final match of football Champions League could enter Russia with the match tickets.
