Touristen mit elektronischem Visum haben Schwierigkeiten an der Grenze
Press service of the city committee for tourism development said that when crossing the border foreign tourists face difficulties in entering St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. Problems arise due to errors made when tourists fill out documents to obtain electronic visas. One of the typical errors is the incorrect transcription of letters while filling out documents for e-visa. The number of foreign tourists who are not allowed to cross the border is not large.
Employees of the city committee emphasized that difficulties arise precisely at the border, where foreigners present e-visas. The website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides detailed rules for filling out documents for visas and transcriptions. However, foreigners still make errors.
According to the city committee, from October 1, at the Russian Foreign Ministry were presented 26 thousand applications for e-visas for entry St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, 14 thousand crosses the border with e-visas were registered.
