Das Verfahren der Einladung von ausländischen Regisseuren wurde für die russischen Theater vereinfacht

State Duma of the Russian Federation on November 1, 2011 in the first reading has introduced amendments into the law “About a legal status of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation” which will help to dispose of bureaucratic obstacles for the invitation of foreign ballet masters and stage directors for the work to Russia, – informs the news agency RIA Novosti.

The new law equates stage directors and actors with highly qualified specialists this essentially simplifies procedure of registration for temporary job at theatres of Russia. As well as in case of other professions, the salary of such professionals should be not less one million rubles a year.

However, experts, making comments on the approved amendments, note that if they really will help in a case of the invitation of stage directors or ballet masters – that is those experts who can receive one million rubles as the fee for the long-term project, in case of the stars invited to one-two performances the draft bill does not work.

Nevertheless, noting these and some other disadvantages of the draft bill, all theatrical principals converge that if the law will not solve all problems of the Russian theatres definitely it will facilitate interaction between theatrical companies of the different countries.
