Kamchatka und Sachalin bei e-visa besuchen
According to the statement made by the Russian President Vladimir Putin at the plenary session within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum, starting from January 1, 2018 foreign citizens will be able to get electronic visas to visit Kamchatka and Sakhalin.
“We aim at extension of investment, trade and financial ties with all our partners from the East and the West Pacific. To give the business a possibility to deliver its products quickly and cheaply to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, Europe and back, we create new transport corridors and increase ports capacity at the Far East, specifically exploring the possibility to use the railway facilities of Sakhalin Island,” said Vladimir Putin.
It should be recalled that since August 2017, a simplified visa regime has been introduced in the Freeport of Vladivostok. Citizens of 18 countries can apply for a free electronic visa on a specialized website 4 days before their proposed entry. About 1,300 people including participants of the Eastern Economic Forum have already received such a visa since the introduction of the regime.
Starting from January 1, 2018, a simplified visa regime will be introduced in the territory of Kamchatka and Sakhalin. Foreign travelers will be able to get electronic visas and enter the regions through one of the 11 available checkpoints.
