The authorities of Mauritius announced the cancellation from October 1 of the mandatory quarantine on arrival for one category of foreign guests. The rule applies only to vaccinated tourists.

MTPA (Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority) director Arvind Bundhun emphasized the effectiveness of the resort bubble scheme. The country expects travelers vaccinated against COVID-19 who will be able to move around the island without restrictions.

The Russian drug “Sputnik V” is recognized in Mauritius, therefore, the exemption applies to vaccinated Russian tourists. In addition to the vaccination certificate, for entry, you must provide a negative PCR test, made no earlier than 72 hours before departure.
