Proyecto de devolución de IVA para extranjeros prorrogado hasta 2023

The government has extended an experiment to compensate VAT to foreigners when exporting goods from Russia until the end of 2023.

Сorresponding changes to the government decree of December 1, 2022 N2206 were approved by the Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation noted importance of extending experiment. The ministry emphasized that this project will increase tourism spending on purchases and help develop dynamics of trade.

Experiment is taking place in 16 regions – Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Leningrad, Kaliningrad, Novgorod, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov, Volgograd, Samara, Sverdlovsk regions, Krasnodar, Khabarovsk, Primorsky territories, Tatarstan and the Mordovian Republic.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade plans to conduct experiment also in the Amur and Irkutsk regions, as well as the Trans-Baikal and Krasnoyarsk Territories.
