Introduction of the mechanism of visa support in the field of education

The mechanism of visa support for foreign teachers who go to the country several times within one year is being prepared in Russia. Lyudmila Ogorodova, deputy Minister of Education and Science of Russia, talked about it during a meeting of representatives of the ministries of education of the BRICS countries.

“The basis for the education’s export will be composed by regulation and legislation in the field of visa support”, – Ogorodova said.

Now training English programs have been exhausted. Russia is ready to develop the export of education. The issue of introduction of the mechanism of visa support for foreign teachers is raised sharply.

“There are teachers who need to go to the country and leave it several times during the year. Each time they must receive a visa. These standards for visa support, especially in the form of partnerships, are now developed, this is the main task”, – the deputy minister said.

It should be emphasized that the priority specialties for foreign citizens in Russia are training programs related to energy, mathematics, physics, biotechnology, medicine and space exploration.

As noted, the main work on the introduction of visa support will be conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
