Simplified entry procedures for IT professionals
According to the Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Konstantin Noskov, the government supported the idea of creating an institute of digital attaches in Russia and simplifying entry procedures for highly qualified IT specialists.
It should be recalled that earlier State Duma deputy Zubarev sent an appeal to the Ministry with a proposal to develop a “Roadmap for the development of international digital communications in Russia” within the framework of which it is planned to identify the institution of digital ambassadors and simplify the visa regime for foreign employees of this specialty.
“Within the framework of the implementation of the state policy on the development of the digital economy of the Russian Federation, the creation of an institute of digital ambassadors with the aim of establishing cooperation with the main world players in the field of information and communication technologies seems to be a highly relevant approach,” the Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications stated.
As noted, the main profile of such specialized diplomats may be the development of intergovernmental relations in the field of numbers, as well as the development of bilateral cooperation with leading technological powers.
“The government supports the initiative to simplify entry procedure for highly qualified specialists in the field of information and communication technologies, including by expanding the practice of issuing electronic visas,” the document says.
According to Zubarev, one of the areas of work should be the creation of conditions not only for attracting foreign specialists, but also for the return of domestic personnel who had previously migrated from Russia. To this end, it would be possible to introduce separate “technological” visas for IT specialists.
