The participants of the World Student Games – 2013 in Kazan will be able to enter Russia without visas

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on the procedure for entry into Russia for members of the XXVII World Summer Student Games to be held in Kazan in 2013.

The decree establishes a visa-free regime for foreign participants. This was announced on the website of Federal Tourism Agency on Tuesday, April 10. This ordered, as follows from the message of Rostourism, was signed on 30 March and came into effect right from the moment of signing.

Entry of the foreign participants of the Student Games into Russia during the period from June 25 to July 25, 2013 will be possible on the basis of valid identity documents and a certificate of accreditation issued by the Executive Board of the XXVII World Summer Student Games.

Student Games are the international sports competitions among students. The first games of this kind took place in 1923 in Paris. The International University Sports Federation (FISU) takes care of organization of the competition today.

Summer Student Games were held in Russia in 1973 in Moscow.
