Over 39 thousand foreigners visited the Russian Far East on e-visa

According to the press service of the Ministry for Development of the Russian Far East, more than 39.2 thousand foreign citizens from 14 countries used an electronic visa to visit the Far Eastern Federal District since August 2017.

According to the figures, an electronic visa is the most often used by citizens of the People's Republic of China (more than 30.9 thousand people) and Japan (8 thousand people).

It is worth recalling that the system of free electronic visas for visiting the Russian Far East was introduced in August 2017. Citizens of 18 countries can receive such a visa by placing an application on the specialized website 4 days before the intended entry.

Currently, foreign nationals can arrive on e-visa at the airports of Vladivostok (Knevichi), Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Yelizovo), Blagoveshchensk, Khabarovsk (New), Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (Khomutovo) and Anadyr (Ugolny). In the Sakhalin Region, Primorsky and Kamchatka Territories, sea border crossing points are operating using the same technology. In Primorye, travelers can arrive on e-visa through Pogranichny, Khasan, Makhalino railway checkpoints as well as Poltavka and Turiy Rog automobile checkpoints.
