
Visa-free entry for UEFA Euro 2020 fans
The State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill allowing the foreign fans of the UEFA Euro 2020 to enter Russia without a visa.
It should be recalled that the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship will take place in multiple cities across Europe such as Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Rome, London, Dublin, Munich, Baku and others. Three group stage matches and quarter-final matches will be held in St. Petersburg.
Fans will be able to enter Russia on valid personal identification documents. As for the volunteers, they will need to obtain ordinary humanitarian visas.
The bill also provides for the right of state regulation of the cost of hotel services for the period of the events.
In addition, it gives the UEFA Euro 2020 fans the right to use for free the city ground-based electric transport, rail transport on suburban routes and metro from 0 am on the day of the match until 12 am on the following day.
2020 UEFA European Football Championship will be held in 13 countries including Russia where St. Petersburg will host the matches.
