
In St. Petersburg a new kind of river excursions is launched
In early June in St. Petersburg a new kind of river excursions is launched, – informs the agency “Interfax”. Now, during the tour along the river, tourists can leave the ship, take a walk on the street or area they like and then continue the tour on the next boat from the same place.
Currently two boats are running the rivers and canals of the city from eleven in the morning until eight in the evening. Motor ships can carry up to one hundred passengers at a time. Each passenger seat is equipped with an audio guide: up to date, the program is in English and Russian, but soon six European languages will be added.
Motor ships ply between the Admiralty and the University Embankment with five stops and intervals of one hour. With the development of routes, common infrastructure and the construction of new vessels it is planned to increase the number of stops to twelve.
Ticket for a boat costs 500 rubles. Social reductions are provided, the highest reaches 50%.
