Tourists from Russia to travel Spain at the end of May

If Russia meets the EU criteria, then Russian tourists will be able to fly to Spain at the end of May. Spain's Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, said this at a press conference on May 12.

She stressed importance of the level of spread of coronavirus infection in a particular country.

Maroto added that some EU countries require recognition of vaccines that are approved by the World Health Organization.

On May 20, the EU will revise guidelines for travel from third countries to the EU. According to Maroto, if the Russian Federation meets the EU criteria, issue of the entry of Russian tourists to Spain will be resolved.

The minister said that the Spanish kingdom planning to wait for 40 million foreign tourists this year.
