The Russian Embassy has extended the terms of issuing visa in London
In connection with the deportation of the Russian diplomats by the British authorities to Moscow, the Russian Embassy in London decided to extend the terms of processing visa requests.
“In connection with the irresponsible actions of the British government, 23 Russian diplomats were deported from the UK, including a number of consular officers, the consular department was significantly damaged”, – the diplomatic mission said.
The Russian embassy stressed that in the situation that arose through the fault of the British side, the term of processing visa requests of foreigners for Russian visas will be increased.
It is necessary to emphasize that the term will be three working days for urgent visas and 20 working days for ordinary visas.
It will be recalled that on the 14th of March it was announced about the deportation of 23 Russian diplomats and about the closing of the British Consulate General in St. Petersburg. The diplomatic scandal between the countries started after the poisoning of former GRU officer Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia happened in British Salisbury on the 4th of March. In its turn, Russia denies all accusations related with this accident.
