Russian visa collection points to appear in the Crimea
The head of the committee of the Crimean parliament for tourism and the sanatorium and resort complex Aleksei Chernyak announced the readiness to open entry centers for foreign tourists in order to simplify the issuance of visas.
According to the official, the Russian government can introduce a simplified procedure for issuing 30-day visas at the border crossing point in the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol.
“We will be ready to open mobile points and let foreigners pass in a simplified order in several hours upon getting a request that a group of foreign tourists is arriving in the Crimea by plane, on a cruise liner or across the land border,” Chernyak said.
It is also stressed that the Federal Law on the Development of Crimea and Sevastopol and the Free Economic Zone will regulate the work of visa collection points.
According to the head of the republic Sergey Aksenov, more than 1 million tourists have rested in the Crimea from the beginning of the year, which is almost 28% more than last year.
It should be recalled that the arrival of foreign tourists to the Crimea is hampered by sanctions and lack of direct flights.
