
Russia suspends visa issuance to Italian citizens temporary
Due to coronavirus Russia suspends temporary the visa issuance to Italian citizens except for the visas for business, diplomatic, humanitarian, service purposes.
“Starting 00:00 on March 13, 2020, a temporary ban is introduced on the visa issuance to citizens of the Italian Republic, except of business, humanitarian, diplomatic and service visas”, they say in the operational headquarters to combat coronavirus in the Russian Federation.
Earlier Russian authorities limited air traffic with Italy, France, Germany and Spain. However, there are still regular flights between Moscow — Rome.
For the first time an outbreak of coronavirus was recorded in Wuhan (People's Republic of China) at the end of December 2019. After China, the novel coronavirus outbreak is observed in Italy, Iran and South Korea. The coronavirus cases have been identified more than in 100 countries, including Russia.
According to statistics, today more than 110 thousand people are infected, with the death toll amounting to 4 thousand.
The Government of the Russian Federation emphasizes that all measures taken by the state are temporary and aimed at preventing the spread of novel coronavirus.
