Russia extends flight suspension with UK

Russia has extended suspension with the UK until March 16 inclusive. This was announced by the emergency response center for preventing the import and spread of the new coronavirus infection in Russia.

The message says that the term of restrictions has been extended until March 16, 2021 to protect public health.

Earlier Russian authorities decided to suspend flights with the kingdom on December 22, 2020 due to discovery of a new strain of coronavirus in the UK.

Then restriction on flights was extended until February 1, after that until February 16 inclusive.

It became known that the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing of Russia has developed a test to detect this strain.
