Russia and Cuba to increase a visa-free travel up to 90 days

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, an agreement on the mutual extension of the visa-free travel period between Russia and Cuba will enter into force on December 21, 2018.

“On December 21, 2018, the Agreement on mutual visa waiver conditions signed between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Cuba in Moscow on May 22, 2018, will come into force,” the Ministry states.

The new agreement replaces the old one from December 3, 1993 and provides the extension of the visa-free travel period from 30 days to 90 days within each period of 180 days from the date of the first entry.

“Citizens intending to reside on the territory of another state for more than 90 calendar days or to carry out labor or commercial activities there, should obtain a visa at the diplomatic mission or consular office of this state in accordance with the laws of the state of entry,” the ministry said.
