The entry rules for foreigners in Russia may be toughen
During the “straight line”, which was held on April 25, the Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed the need to tighten the entry rules for foreign nationals into the territory of the Russian Federation. In particular, the toughening will be applied to the citizens of the countries of the Customs Union and the former Soviet republics.
Among other things, this toughening previews the entry into the territory of the Russian Federation only with foreign passports.
“Some time is needed to print the forms and passports. A civilized approach supposes to give some time for the preparation of the documents”, – said the president.
The date when the new rules come into force the 2015 is called. As Putin explained, that period will be required by the former Soviet Union countries to print and issue the number of documents and passports.
The president also said that if necessary, Russia is ready to provide financial support to countries to accelerate the introduction of new rules.
This initiative, in particular, may be one more step in a program to combat illegal migration in the country. After all, the number of immigration law violators is indicated by the European Union as one of the major obstacles to the introduction of a visa-free regime with Russia.
