240 000 patents, a hotel and a new building: how operates the Multifunctional Center for migrants

Multifunctional Center for migrants located in Sakharovo village on the territory of New Moscow issued about 240 000 employment patents in Moscow. Currently another 20 000 patents are preparing to be issued.

Multifunctional Center was opened in Sakharovo village in January 2015. For its work were used tents brought from Sochi after the Olympic Games. The number of queries and requests to the Center is up to 6000 people submitting the documents a day, so work is being done around the clock. In the second half of this year it is planned to open a new major building which will allow receiving up to 10 thousand people.

The Center in Sakharovo provides the following features for foreign citizens:

– Medical examination and certification conducting by specialists, including all the necessary tests and analyzes confirming the absence of dangerous diseases.

– Testing the knowledge of Russian language, history and laws of the Russian Federation and issuing the appropriate certificate.

– Legalization of TIN and registration.

It is important to note that the Center does not replace the FMS and does not duplicate its functions; it helps to prepare the package of documents, transmits them to the appropriate department and recruits staff according to the employers’ request.

The opening of the new building will make the Center work even more rapid and transparent. According to Maxim Reshetnikov, the head of the department of economic policy and the development of the capital, “The capacity of the Center should be excessive. A foreign citizen won’t need the services of any third parties, if he/she can apply to the available migration Center at any time.” As planned, the excess capacity will be another way to fight against corruption and intermediaries.

Starting from June 26, a hotel with 200 rooms was opened near the Center for the convenience of foreign nationals. During the interview with “Moscow 24” the CEO of the Center Nikolai Fedoseyev announced that “The Hotel Complex territory is supplied with all the necessary for the full-fledged stay including children rooms and playground, relaxation area and sports fields. The cost of living is just 500 rubles a day that is very modest by Moscow standards”.
