The defined schedule of public transport on New Year's Eve

The timetable of Moscow urban transport on New Year’s Eve is already determined. In that way, the operating hours of buses and trolleybuses will be prolonged until 3:00 am, and the underground will be opened until 2:00 am. Ordinarily, the transport stops its work at 1:00 am.

January 1st the ground transportation will be released on the route at 4:30 am.

“Night transport during the night of January 1st will work on a schedule all the night, the rest of the traffic will be available until 3:00 am” – is quoted the statement of Director General of the State Unitary Enterprise “Mosgortrans” Yevgeny Mikhailov by the agency “Interfax”.

Reporting on the results of work in 2014, Mikhailov said that for the year “Mosgortrans” has transported a half billion passengers: about 3.9 million buses’ passengers and 1.1 million trolleybuses’ passengers a day.

Transport’s operating hours on the New Year's Eve will be prolonged not only in Moscow. In 2013, on the New Year's Eve the St. Petersburg metro was closed just for few hours: from 2:00 am to 4:00 am. And on Christmas night the subway was opened for passengers around the clock.
