Germany relaxed travel rules for Russian citizens

Since July 7, Germany has reduced travel restrictions and allowed entry for citizens from five countries, including Russia, informed the Ministry of Health of Germany.

Under the new rules, from July 7, foreigners will be able to send the following through an electronic form: a certificate of vaccination (with a drug only approved in the EU), a certificate of past illness and a negative PCR test.

Russia has been downgraded to list with high incidence areas. This means a softening of the quarantine, which is reduced from 14 to 10 days. The quarantine period can be shortened to five days if they test negative for COVID-19, and people who are fully vaccinated can avoid quarantine altogether.
