Foreigners from December 29 to be required to submit fingerprints at entry in RF
From December 29, 2021, a federal law comes into force on compulsory fingerprinting and medical examination of labor migrants, as well as all other categories of foreigners who arrived for a period of more than 90 days.
Foreign citizens who arrived in Russia without a purpose to get a work for more than 90 days are required to go through the fingerprinting and photographing. Those who have passed fingerprinting, and photographing will receive a certificate.
According to the new rules, labor migrants are required to undergo a medical examination within 30 days to confirm an absence of dangerous infections, including HIV, drug addiction.
Fingerprinting and photo registration are carried out once, and medical examination is carried out at each entry into Russia. These requirements do not apply to citizens of Belarus and foreigners under the age of 6 years.
