Foreign tourists can stay three days in Murmansk region without visas

Passengers of tourist ferry boats can visit Murmansk region without visas. It is reported that Murmansk was included into the list of the Russian ports through which tourists can arrive to Russia without visas for three days on ferry boats which have permissions for passenger traffic.

“Foreign citizens and apatrides have an opportunity to be in the territory of the region within 72 hours without visas in case of visiting seaport Murmansk as a part of tourist group which have arrived on ferry boats”, – declared the government.

It should be noted that in Murmansk continue work on development of infrastructure for service of passenger ships. The authorities work on arrangement of a check point through the border.

The authorities of the region think that innovations will increase interest in the tourist potential of Arctic Circle.

It is noted that recently more and more tourists from Asia arrive to Murmansk region. They are interested first of all in cruises on nuclear-powered ice-breakers to the North Pole, and also the popular place of rest is Khibiny where modern ski resorts are located.
