Foreign athletes’ family members to allow entering Russia

The government allowed family members of foreign athletes to enter Russia. This resolution of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was published on website of the Cabinet.

The message says that spouses, children and parents of foreign athletes, coaches, judges and other specialists in sphere of physical fitness will be able to come to Russia again.

To enter the country, they only need to have an identity document and a visa, type of which corresponds to purpose of visit. It is necessary to include family member in list, which the Ministry of Sports agrees with FSB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Air Transport Agency.

Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation lifted restrictions on entry of foreign athletes and coaches into Russia. They have been unable to travel to the country due to the spread of coronavirus infection since the end of March 2020. Restrictions were lifted for those who entered with employment contract with Russian organization.
