Finnish visas can be issued in Russia starting September 7th
The Finnish authorities have decided to resume the work of visa centers in Russia from September 7th. After announcement of pandemic in March, the Finnish Visa Сenters stopped working in Russia. Applicants applied for visa only at the Finnish representations.
Message says about secure service and prompt consideration of applications at VFS Global Visa Сenters. Only certain categories of citizens will be able to submit visa applications to VFS Global for visit Finland from September 7th.
These changes will affect applications submitted in Moscow and St. Petersburg. A diplomatic mission clarifies that entry is allowed only for certain categories of citizens of two countries: they are workers in navigation and transport and citizens who apply for visa on basis of an unregistered marriage or for humanitarian reasons.
The Finnish government in Russia said that the resumption of visas issuance for Russian citizens is subject to the lifting of the temporary border restriction. There is no information on the dates of the border crossing restrictions ban.
