The government allowed entry into Russia for Highly Qualified Specialists

Highly Qualified Specialists are allowed a single entry into Russia. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order #1671-p. The website of the Russian government announced this on June 25, 2020.

The report says that foreign specialists can enter into Russia on the basis of a special list.

Data for certain specialists should be sent to the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia by the federal executive bodies, which are in charge of the employer or customer of the services of foreign specialist. Also it should be specified — the checkpoint through which the employee plans to enter Russia & the date of arrival. In addition to a passport, highly qualified foreign specialist must have a valid employment contract or a contract for the performance of work or the provision of services.

This decision was made by the Government after considering applications from foreign diplomats, various business associations, Russian and foreign companies.

The Association of European Businesses announced the approval of the first list of HQS. After arriving in Russia, they will have 14-day quarantine.
