Electronic visa in Russia will become a multiple entry visa

According to Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Yevgeny Ivanov, the Russian government admits the possibility that the electronic visa introduced from January 1, 2021 will be multiple entry visa.

“We do not exclude that in future electronic visa may become multiple entry visa. But such decisions should be taken on the basis of the analysis of the experience including all factors, such as migration dangerous”, — Ivanov explained.

It should be recalled that earlier the State Duma has adopted at first reading a law on an electronic visa developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As it is stressed, the validity of the electronic visa will apply to 113 countries.

“The right to go to Russia with an electronic visa is expected to be granted to citizens of 53 foreign countries, besides, the citizens of 60 foreign countries have visa-free regime based on bilateral agreements. From January 2021, the maximum liberal regime of going to Russia excluding the need for a visa in paper format will apply to 113 foreign countries”, said Yevgeny Ivanov.

It is necessary to note that a consular fee will be not more than $50 for the issuance of an electronic visa.
