Direct flights between Russia and Greece
Russian Tour Operators Association announced possible renewal of air traffic between Russia and Greece. The authorities of two countries can make a bilateral decision to lift restrictions on international flights from October 1.
Flights from Moscow to Athens will be operated on parity terms 2 times a week.
CEO of tour operator “Mouzenidis Travel” Alexander Tsandekidis said that the Russian and Greek authorities are considering resuming flights. Maybe this issue will be resolved in coming days.
Mr. Tsandekidis stressed that this is preliminary information and an official decision on intention to open the airspace between Russia and Greece should be expected.
The Greek government has allowed entry for up to 500 tourists from Russia per week starting September 7. Russian citizens need to have a negative COVID – 19 test result, hotel voucher and documents that clearly indicate a temporary residence in the country.
