La lista de tierras rusas, que no puede convertirse en propiedad de extranjeros, fue aprobada
Dmitry Medvedev has approved the list of areas in which foreign citizens and foreign legal persons have the right to own land, – informs agency RIA Novosti. In total 380 territories, cities and districts are prohibited for foreign citizens and people without citizenship.
The ban hit the North Caucasus republics (Altai, North Ossetia, Dagestan, Tuva, Buryatia, Chechnya, Ingushetia, Kalmykia, Karachay-Cherkessia, Karelia and Sakha) and most of the Far Eastern and Siberian regions.
As noted the head of the Duma Committee on civil, arbitral and legal acts Pavel Krasheninnikov – these restrictions are caused, primarily, by the need to ensure the security of the country. The official noted that taken actions have nothing special and they exist in many countries around the world.
As some experts pointed out, the law is not retroactive, so that the restrictions will affect only those citizens who plan to acquire land in Russia. To those who became owners of the land before the adoption decree, the law will not apply.
