Los barcos extranjeros tuvieron la oportunidad de cruzar la frontera rusa sin control de aduanas

The Russian Government identified a number of cases in which Russian and foreign vessels would be able to cross the state border without customs inspection. This innovation simplifies not only the ships transfer from one part of Russia to another, but also the navigation in several other cases of merchant shipping.

The appropriate decree signed by the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev was placed on the Cabinet’s website on the Internet. It was initiated by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

In particular, the transfer of ships by Russian icebreakers in the exclusive economic zone of the Russian Federation and the territorial seas of foreign states in the Baltic Sea, the Okhotsk Sea and the Sea of Japan; the realization of scientific research in the inland waters of the Russian Federation and the development of hydrocarbon fields are considered to be among such cases. Besides, ships taking part in sailing competitions will be able to stay in Russian waters without documents.

The federal law “On the state border” is now a document allowing the repeated crossing of the Russian border without passing border control. Other cases of the border crossing authorization are determined by the government of the Russian Federation directly.
